I started my new job this week. Today around lunch time, one of my fellow coworkers asked if I could pick up a bowl of chili from Wendys for him. I'm not extremely familliar with the Lansing (MI) area, so I asked where the closest Wendy's is. I realized it's right around the corner, as shown here...

Well, someone in the office has a sense of humor, and gave me these directions...
Well, as everyone knows by now, the Detroit Lions made history this weekend...
It wasn't the history they were looking for though.
They became the first team in NFL history to become 0-16 on the season. On the upside though, they won all their pre-season games. I guess that makes them the 2008 Pre-Season Champions. However it's like the points on Who's Line is it Anyway...they don't matter.
After the game, the commentators of the Detroit Lions Radio Network had a few words to say, while they kept it radio-friendly... I've come up with what they really were thinking...
Note: to avoid mass attention, please email me for the link.

Thanks.
Well, as evident from the previous post, I went out and got myself and iPod Touch. Since I walked into Walmart right after Christmas, I ended up with a second-generation 16gb version. It came stock with the 2.1.1 firmware, I've yet to upgrade it to 2.2.
I like it so far, even though I can't jailbreak it (yet). The music quality is great, the ear buds work wonderful, and it doesn't take that long to update on a USB 1.0 connection.
Thanks to Ben Holcomb to throwing me some extra hosting space, things should be much faster. If you run into any issues, let me know. Thanks!
Ok, It's FINALLY DONE...

I've also submitted it to www.grlevelxstuff.com
Enjoy!
It's just a small white envelope stuck among the
branches of our Christmas tree. No name, no
identification, no inscription. It has peeked through
the branches of our tree for the past 10 years or so.
It all began because my husband Mike hated Christmas
--oh, not the true meaning of Christmas, but the
commercial aspects of it -- the overspending, the
frantic running around at the last minute to get a tie
for Uncle Harry and the dusting powder for Grandma --
the gifts given in desperation because you couldn't
think of anything else.
I went poking around the source code for my college's "Web Portal" today.
I think this pretty much explains everything....
//XXXX
function doXXXX(){
myurl2 = "https://(REMOVED)/html/portallogin.html?username=" + getQueryVariable("username") + "&password=" + getQueryVariable("password");
document.write('< a href=\"javascript:windowlaunch2(\'\' + myurl2 + \'\',600,800);\" style=\"color:#fff;font-size:14px;text-decoration:none;\">Link Text< /a> < span style=\"color:#a1b5ce;\">:: ');
}
So this is finals week here at College.
IT's about DAMNED time!!
I'm really getting tired of this semester, and if it isn't painfully obvious, I'm glad it's over with.
My science class isn't looking too good. I'm glad it's only a Global Awareness elective. I don't need a "Science" credit for my degree. A VERY GOOD THING. I'm planning on picking up a humanities class in the fall to take care of that.
I don't really have very many plans for the break, but I'm sure I'll find something to fill the time.
